IMPERIALISM

Professor Michael Ignatieff, Professor in Human Rights at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University wrote in the New York Times Magazine (28/Jul/2002) gave a definition of modern imperialism (American) somewhat shocking, but true:

"[O] imperialism used to be the white man's burden. This gave him a bad reputation. But imperialism does not stop being necessary just because it's politically incorrect. "

Again talking about U.S. military operations in the Middle East said:

"Special Forces are not social workers. They are an imperial detachment, advancing American power and interests in Central Asia. Call it keeping the peace or build a nation, call it what you like, imperial policing is what is underway in Mazar. In fact, the entire U.S. war on terror is an exercise in imperialism. This can be a shock to Americans who do not like to think of their country as an empire. But what else can one call to the legions of soldiers, spooks and Special Forces Americans to ride the globe?


ENGLISH IMPERIALISM

John Hobson in 1902, wrote a work entitled: Imperialism, A STUDY. In this book, Hobson criticized the expansionist imperialism English who were in steep descent. The British ruled other parts of the world, subjecting them to his government. Virtually all continents have land area subject to the British. If he said that the sun never went out to England, because the whole earth had English possessions. This rule guarantees a monopoly market for imperialist governments, though John Hobson felt that the government did not win anything with it, who really benefited were the parasites of financial groups.

GERMAN IMPERIALISM

German imperialism reached its peak with the rise of Hitler, who first seized the assets of wealthy Jewish bankers in Germany and then proceeded to invade and dominate neighboring Saxon nations (Austria and Poland) and then extended his imperialist pretensions to other European nations, and then in Africa and Asia. The Germans due to their military expansionist ambitions has already led to two world wars in the twentieth century. The pan-Germanism was a period of history depicted by Paul Rohrbach and Rosa Luxemburg which runs from 1900 to 1945 whose idea was to end the economic blockade that was between the East and Central Europe and the Germans wanted to use trade routes in the East without requiring permission the English.
